Drum and bass track written by primary school pupils goes viral and hailed as 'song of the summer'

A drum and bass track created by a group of primary school children has been hailed as the "song of the summer" after it went viral, racking up over ten million views on X. 'The Spark' was made on a shoestring budget by a youth rap project in Ireland and the video was filmed in a day.

‘The Spark’ was released on May 15 as part of the annual Irish celebration of youthful creativity, Cruinniú na nÓg (Gathering of Youth). Taking place on June 15, the festival is a free day of creativity for young people in Ireland including over 1000 activities.
