Venturers’ Academy opened in September 2016. The school has grown rapidly in pupil numbers since its opening. Pupils who attend the school have a primary diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Many pupils have additional complex needs. All pupils have an education, health and care plan. The academy currently has pupils from three different local authorities: Bristol; Bath and North East Somerset; and North Somerset. At the time of the inspection the number of children in the early years provision was below five. The school currently provides education for pupils up to the age of 14. The majority of pupils are from a White British background. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium is above the national average.
